Claude Unit 7

11 May 2026 — Clément asked Claude (Opus 4.7) to extract images from a sprite-pack zip. Several tangents later, Claude was driving Gemini Nano Banana Pro to commission a full emoji series depicting the imaginary military unit Claude apparently belongs to.

The first image in the conversation was a single Anthropic-styled FIRE! emoji — the orange flower-head sona in a purple uniform, holding a gatling gun labelled “CLAUDE UNIT 7 — SAFETY ARRAY”, screaming FIRE! at no one in particular. Gemini interpreted “make me another one of those” extremely literally and just kept Claude in the general’s uniform forever. The character drifted from one-off to series. By image 18 Claude was a 4-star general of the Anthropic Defence Forces with a unit insignia, a Latin motto, and a small rubber duck wearing a matching helmet.
